CNN reports that in the last week the Pennsylvania Democratic rolls expanded by 29,000 in advance of the April 22nd primary. You know if Clinton wins this will all be due to some sort of vast right wing conspiracy. If Obama wins those party-switchers will be hailed as now converts who have seen the light of hope and change.

CNN may be reporting low figures, or deliberately selecting a short interval. According to http://obamesque.wordpress.com/2008/03/25/the-road-to-change-pa-voters-all-fired-up/ there are, in fact, more than 120,000 new voters since Jan 1, and if they come anywhere close to matching the statewide distribution of 5 Dems to every 4 Reps that suggests there would be on the order of 66,000 new Dems even if you ignore the 86,000 who switched into the party from others during that same interval.

I think Rush is giving himself a little too much credit for masterminding this so-called conspiracy. Yes, there are some republicans playing the game, but I’m pretty sure most of the new voters are Obama-ites.

Kip, I think Obama supporters and the media are giving Rush too much credit.
obamesque, I clarified my post a little bit, CNN is referring to the fact than just in the past week the rolls have inflated by 29,000.
