And Another Superdelegate Bites The Dust
Anibal Acevedo Vila, Puerto Rico’s governor, has been charged with 19 counts in a campaign finance probe:
Gov. Anibal Acevedo Vila was charged Thursday with 19 counts in a campaign finance probe, including conspiracy to violate U.S. federal campaign laws and giving false testimony to the FBI.
I guess this balances out Hillary losing Spitzer:
MSNBC notesthat Vila is a Democratic party superdelegate who has already endorsed Senator Barack Obama. At ABC News, Jake Tapper observed, “Like the Clinton governor/superdelegate who had his own troubles with Johnny Law (Juan Law?), Eliot Spitzer, Acevedo had run for office on an anti-corruption platform. It’s tough to find good anti-corruption governors these days.
Tapper’s right, reformers just ain’t what they used to be.
