This Rezko trial isn’t getting a lot of MSM coverage, but maybe it should be. It seems one of Rezko’s business partners, Nadhmi Auchi, is an Iraqi billionaire with some heavy ties to Saddam Hussein and is generally known as a nefarious character. What does this have to do with Obama? Auchi gave Rezko a large loan just prior to Rezko helping Obama purchase his house. For those who haven’t been following this, Rezko was supposedly broke when he helped Obama purchase his house, so one has to wonder where Rezko got his money from. And this isn’t the first questionable tie Obama has to nefarious peeps:
Now, to what extent is there a problem here for Barack? It is clearly another association he does not want. Like the one with Rashid Khalidi, who did a fundraiser for Obama in 2000. (Phil Klein at the Ameican Spectator has more on this) There is Edward Said and Ali Abunimah. Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s anti-semitic remarks and Trinity United Church of Christ’s alliances with anti-semitic individuals end up fitting a pattern rather than being independent moments of hatred.
Someone will make some serious hay over all this before November.
