This is a good story to wrap up the day with. Daily News has got a few new pics of Ashley Dupre and her mom hanging out on the beach, and everyone has taken notice of Ms. Dupre’s tattoo. The tattoo, near her bikini line, reads tutela valui. There have been many guesses as to what it means, but here’s the Daily News’s crack interpretation:
Tutela, which is related to tutor, has to do with a protector or guardian. Valui appears to be a past form of the word strong.
“So I guess you would say it means, ‘I have a strong patron’ or ‘I have a strong keeper,’” said Doug Machle, assistant to the chairman in the classics department at the University of Washington.
“Or, actually, it’s more like, ‘My guardian was strong.’”
