Hey, it’s a start.
The White House says President Bush is planning to lift an executive ban on offshore oil drilling.
In a Rose Garden statement on Monday, the president plans to lift the ban. But by itself, the move will not lead to more drilling off America’s coastline.
Congress must still lift its own legislative ban before offshore drilling can happen.
It’s on you now Congress. Time to poop or get off the pot.

Bush does nothing for 7.5 years except for the filling of the Strategic Reserve when oil prices were high and groveling like a dog at the feet of the Saudi Princes, yet now just because he “says so” you think he is actually doing something?!
Why didn’t he do this way back in 2001 when he had complete control of Congress? Prices, aka profits for his oil buddies, were not high enough? Maybe, all those people down in SE would be yelling when oil platforms & oil spills started polluting their beaches and we wouldn’t want to make it look like Republican controlled Congress was responsible now would we?
Bush has been sitting on the pot for all these years with one key difference, he’s clogged all the pipes and it’s going to take an industrial sewer cleaner to get them working again.
The time for strutting his stuff is over, time to look elsewhere and consider a plan that actually is doable and has real merits

Hans,
Why didn’t Clinton do this when he had the chance.
Maybe little girls like you need to investigate how much oil companies give to both sides of the aisle.
Or are you one of those pseudo-intellectuals that believe that the”democrats are for the little guy” and the “republicans are for the rich”?
You really need to stop living off the money mommy and daddy gave you and get a real job.

nice avoidance of the situation to rip on me. bravo!
what’s the tuff guy job you do Mr. Tuff Guy?! you get a hangnail today pecking at the computer? Drag your fast a$$ up a tree with a chainsaw then you come talk to me, otherwise STFU and just place your head back up Bush’s a$$ where it normally resides.

So if anybody is against Obama they are automatically for Bush.
What a genius you are!!!
It is so open-minded to mindlessly follow somebody throwing empty words like “hope” and “change” around.
You are truly a man of great intellect for being a follower of the illegal 2 party system that big government has designed for us. Kudos to you, my hats off!!!
BTW – My Sig Sauer 9mm beats a girly man doing a leatherface imitation everytime.

u r a joke. take your pasty white ass back to the college republican’s convention and hopefully your turdblossom father Rove will protect you.

Actually that would be medium dark-skinned Puerto Rican ass. I grew up poor and made something of myself. I’ve never taken government money.
And you should be ashamed of yourself. As an Obamabot you should know better than to attack a minority (LOL!!!!!).
BTW – I looked at your blog. I missed the part about 9/11 Truth, Roswell and AIDS being invented by the government. You are not a pseudo-intellectual as I stated before. You are a lefty whackjob.

Ha-ha, I do believe in alien life out there somewhere, it’s more probable than some God existing, but that’s another debate I feel like not having. AIDS, nah that’s just a natural evolution of biological life, unless “God created it just to deal with homosexuals”, and as for 9-11, not a conspiracy believer, but know it was not as unexpected as some would like us to believe, given the G8 summit in Genoa the summer of 2001 had anti-aircraft armaments on the building tops for exactly the “unbelievable” that happened on 9-11. Complicity? No. Complacency & incompetence? Yes.
Good for you, proud of what you’ve done. Does that make you just as elite as Obama then? Growing up poor, then making something of yourself? So therefore being PR you must either be a Hillary fan (which I doubt) or the equivalent of a Log Cabin Republican (minus the gay), a pariah within your own party, as my angry white, military serving Republican father would label you a “stupid spick” even though you favor the same candidate without question and for no real critical reason other than he is a Republican? This is very ironic you would label me a lefty whackjob and probably consider me a “silver spoon in my mouth” whitey rich kid, yet contrary to my Republican (your party to death do you part) father, I would give you the benefit of the doubt until you proved me wrong (hopefully not) without racial prejudice, so your party affiliation is quite odd to say the least. If it were up to me, I’d choose a group that accepted me for who I was, not who they want me to be (yo soy! not yo estoy!) but whatever, that’s your decision…

Hams-
You’re just a schill for the 2 party system. The fact that you keep mentioning “parties” leads me to believe that you need to be beat up by life a little more.
If you find you’re political “Messiah” in the 2 party system you have a long way to go before you can have a conversation with me.
WOW!! Now I sound elitist!. Excuse me while I wash the superiority off me.

well given you have only attacked one candidate through your labeling of me, while at the same time not defending another, I find it slightly ironic you claim to be the champion of a multiple “party” system.
I am only looking for positive progress, acknowledgment of what has not worked in the past and learning from past mistakes, and well some honest fiscal responsibility.
Like I said, you’ve made it pretty clear who you support, yet can give no evidence or reason for why you are supporting that person or position, which is exactly as I mentioned above, why I find it hard to understand complete subservience to an ideology that does not support those who follow it, but rather only tells them they are being supported and they believe it whether it is true or not.
Your brand of saying nothing says everything that is needed to be known about you.
