W has refused the emergency request to call Congress back into session, citing the fact that while he could call Congress back into session he has no control over the agenda once it was called back. Smart move. W’s unwillingness to get involved dumps the issue squarely back into Peolsi’s lap and allows her to keep looking really stupid. It also, as AllahPundit points out, keeps W’s fingerprints off this and keeps the Dems from being able to cry executive overreach.
Who knew the GOP could be so much fun?
