Biden never ceases to amze with his talent for hyperbole and self-inflation.
Joe Biden’s proposal to quell violence in Iraq by splitting the country into separate, semi-autonomous regions by ethnic group — Shia, Sunni, and Kurd — may never have been formally implemented; but Biden says the good that’s happening in Iraq today follows from exactly what he proposed.
“They may not want to call it what I was talking about. But the end result is, there is a lot of autonomy in the Anbar province today. There is a lot of autonomy up in the Kurdish area today. And there is increasing autonomy in the Shia regions,” Biden told reporters on board his plane as part of a nearly 14 minute answer to the question of whether he still supports a tripartite solution in Iraq.
Words fail me here. I mean really, what do you say to that?
