No, Wait, We Don’t Have A Bill

The House today did not pass the $700 billion bailout bill, it died an ugly death with the vote tally being 207-226. Between the two parties, the Dems supported it 141-94 and the Republicans opposed it 66-132. Of course the Dow went nuts, dropping as much as 700 points earlier in the day. Boehner & Co. are steamed over this speech Pelosi gave before the vote, which they claim killed any bipartisanship feel-goodiness that existed.

Good job there killing the bill Nancy, this might be the only time conservatives ever like you. So now we’re back to square one, and we’re in speculative mode. The Dow closed 777 points down, the largest one day drop ever. It will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow.

UPDATE – The Senate has pushed back their vote on the bill to Wednesday. Let the mad scramble to salvage something out of this begin.

  • So this bitch wants to play partisan politics and expects everybody to go along with her?

Dems took control of Congress in ‘06 and gas was $2.00-2.20 a gallon.

Fannie Mae collapsed under their watch.

These pieces of excrement care only about their re-election. May they all get cancer, especially Barney “lisp” Frank.

  • Outstanding spectacle from the worst Speaker of the House in US history.

This woman should go back home and STAY THERE.
