Oh, So NOW You Don’t Want To Rush Into Anything!

Oh for eff’s sake!

As global markets plunged, President Bush on Monday said “it’s going to take awhile” for the government’s $700 billion financial rescue plan to bolster the troubled U.S. economy.

Bush said the purpose of the package was to unlock the nation’s credit freeze “to get money moving again.” But, he added: “We don’t want to rush into the situation and have the program not be effective.”

It’s a bit late for that now asshat, you already signed the crap sandwich into law. Besides, I though the whole point of the bailout was to fix everything right now, which is why we had to get it done Right Now. If you were interested in playing wait-and-see, you could have done nothing and let the market figure itself out. You know, that capitalism thing we talk about so much. Or maybe instead of choking on the crap sandwich we could be discussing other alternatives to bailing out Fannie/Freddie (I say just Fannie and Freddie since the other private banks that were in trouble seem to be merging into other banks just fine…you know, free market and stuff).
