SNL finally gave Tina Fey the night off from making the same Palin joke over and over and decided to tackle the subprime bailout issue. I don’t know exactly what set NBC off about this skit, it might be the point is made that Dems indeed didn’t sound any alarms about Fannie/Freddie (and that it was W who did that six years ago), the skewering of the “victims” of the subprime crash, or the referral to Soros as the owner of the Democratic party (guess that was supposed to be a secret), but they sure don’t want anyone looking at it. Me, I think it’s the funniest SNL skit I’ve seen since the Bill Clinton one.
Since you can’t find this gem on YouTube anymore, here it is hosted on Pat Dollard’s blog. Michelle Malkin has a full transcript with screenshots if you can’t look at the video.
UPDATE – Well that would explain it; the Sandlers are real, real wealthy, and real angry. Word is Soros is peeved too. Truth hurts bitches.
UPDATE II – And it returns.
