Really, didn’t we make fun of him like a month ago for using the whole hoodwinked/bamboozled thing? Seriously, nobody talks like that anymore.
And I was all prepared to make fun of Obama for trying to sound “normal”, but then this caught my eye. Seems like there’s a hidden message here. No, not like the hidden message in McCain “Celebrity” ad, an actual hidden message.
It’s worth remembering that the majority of blacks still think O.J. Simpson is innocent. And, in times like these, when a black man is out front in the public eye, black people feel both proud and vulnerable and, as a result, scour the earth for evidence of racists plotting to bring him down, like an advance team ready to sound an alarm. Barack needed only a gesture, a quick sneer or nod in the direction of the Clintons’ hidden racism to avail himself of the twisted love that rescued O.J. and others like him and to smooth his path to victory, and, therefore, to salvage his candidacy. After Donna Brazile and James Clyburn started to cry racism, Barack was repeatedly asked his thoughts. He declined to answer, allowing the charge to grow for days (in sharp contrast to how he leapt to Joe Biden’s defense a month earlier). But, while he remained silent about the allegations of racism, he gave speeches across South Carolina that warned against being “hoodwinked” and “bamboozled” by the Clintons. His use of the phrase is resonant. It comes from a scene in Malcolm X, where Denzel Washington warns black people about the hidden evils of “the White Man” masquerading as a smiling politician: “Every election year, these politicians are sent up here to pacify us,” he says. “You’ve been hoodwinked. Bamboozled.”
By uttering this famous phrase, Obama told his black audience everything it needed to know. He was helping to convince blacks that the first two-term Democratic president in 50 years, a man referred to as the first black president, is in fact a secret racist. As soon as I heard that Obama had quoted from Malcolm X like this, I knew that Obama would win South Carolina by a massive margin.
That was written for TNR. In May. When he used the same line against the Clintons. Remember what happened to the Clinton’s in South Carolina? Does today look a little more familiar?
It’s sad that a man who claims to want to talk about the issues has so little faith in his mastery of said issues that he uses the race card whenever he can to keep from talking about the issues.
H/T Hot Air for the TNR link.

Hey Snarky
It is also worth remembering that the majority of McCain fans think that McCain is innocent of leaning on bank regulators so that Keating could make disappear disappear the life savings of 20,000 people and require a 2 billion dollar bailout of Lincoln Savings bank.

Good Doc-
You’ve got the talking points down!
Unfortunately more people care about why Obama is in business with an UNREPENTANT domestic terrorist (It doesn’t matter how long ago he set the bombs off, I guess if Bin Ladin came out of hiding in 40 years it would be cool to pal around with him), a Pastor that says God Damn America, and a guy found guilty of all sorts of fraud than the Keating 5.
If you care so much about those 20,000 people why don’t you and your limousine liberal friends write some checks and help them out.
Oh no, that’s right, that’s the governments job using my money.

JUST BECAUSE SARAH SAYS THAT OBAMA “PALS AROUND” WITH AYRES DOES NOT MAKE IT SO.
McCain helped Keating carry out his misdeeds.
Obama first met Ayres 25 years after his misdeeds.
If you care so much about those 20,000 people why don’t you and your limousine liberal friends write some checks and help them out?
lol…. That is so lame that I am not even going to repond to that.
Keating went to prison for 5 years. Ayres did not go to prison. He is now Distinguished Professor at University of Illinois at Chicago.

Ayres got off on a technicality and admits that he did the bombings because he knows double jeopardy applies.
If you defend him you are truly a piece of shit, you and your messiah, and I hope you fucking burn in hell.
I can’t believe you are defending a terrorist and his friends. May your family get slow stomach cancer!

1. Compared to Keating, Ayres IS a saint.
2. Keating ruined the lives of 21,000 Americans. How many lives did Ayres ruin?
3. Keating cost the American taxpayers 2 billion. How much did Ayres cost the taxpayers?
4. Keatings relationship to McCain is well documented and McCain participated in his misdeeds, by leaning on bank regulators Obama’s relationship to Ayres is hokey and contrived by liars. Ayres misdeeds were when Obama was 8 years old and 5000 miles away.
5. I hate to disillusion you at your young age. I feel as if I am telling a 5 year old that there is no Santa Claus. You are the ones who need to grow up.
6. I disagree with Ayres method of protesting but I respect his point of view in the same way I respect the point of view of the “pro-lifers” (actually they are actually “pro-birthers”) Unlike the Iraq war, the Vietnam war was debateable.
7. LBJ lied us into escalating the Vietnam War, which resulted in almost 60,000 deaths. How many deaths did Ayres cause?

You and his supporters are pure scum.
Why don’t you bring Bin Ladin here and toast him. I mean you can’t prove he did anything, it’s only his own words.

David powers
Do you think that what Ayres did was worse than what Keating did?
Do you admit that McCain was very close to Keating, and received money and favors from him?
Do you admit that McCain helped keating to carry out his nefarious deeds?
Osama bin Laden has bragged about his terrorism. No one needs to prove his guilt.
I am disappointed in you for calling me scum. I have not insulted you in that way.
